This project is a video exercise in 3 acts.
The main character (a self-representation of the artist) performs in front of a mirror in a domestic background. The “real” movements of the character don’t correspond to the representation being reflected on the mirror. This exercise works as rehearsal to this character, already explored in other projects, where she struggles with her own unmoving pose as she is standing there, waiting to be represented.
The exercise was inspired by Bill Viola’s The reflecting pool (1977-80).
